Oh cool! Good information about the [Only mods are allowed to see this link] of your [Only mods are allowed to see this link] .
Re: Train sets!
the safety nets as i call them are going to go between the walls of the 3rd floor in the tunnels as a safety measure in case a piece of equipment should jump off the tracks and fall off the table, because they will not survive a hard landing to the floor, and neither will the couplers, as i have broken the heads off of many that way before, but, the whole "3rd floor" idea is a plan b, and is not expected to be used unless absolutely needed.

Cool!
Re: Train sets!
well, either safety nets or some boxes full of foam or something, as well as some "access hatches"because we have to be able to retrieve the stricken freight car or passenger car

Re: Train sets!
As the main builder of the current set-up remains committed to his summer work, there is little or no progress to be made on sorting the issues out but there is some plans relating to this matter

Re: Train sets!
which means the one operator is sitting out each running session until the issues are rectified once and for all, including the bridge board idea

Re: Train sets!
I have to say that I for one find the concept of only one operator using the setup to be quite disappointing (as that wasn't why it was built), but every single person in the world is allowed to make their own choices.

Re: Train sets!
still, if the issues are left unaddressed, there is only reason for one operator to be there

Re: Train sets!
Latest news from the model train setup... the badly warped lift bridge is continuing to cause problems but an unforeseen physical health problem currently being experienced by the main builder of this setup has reduced the chances of the above problem being fixed in the near future.

Re: Train sets!
So far there is nobody else other than the father of myself and 1mtvfan available to assist in terms of getting this problem solved. But, as I stated earlier, an unforeseen physical health problem and the amount of time needed to recover from this has taken priority over working on the model train set-up.

I see, well hopefully [Only mods are allowed to see this link] on your [Only mods are allowed to see this link] will get moving again soon.

Unfortunately such is unlikely at present, but life isn't always a picnic.

Hopefully the builder will get better soon. Then not only can [Only mods are allowed to see this link] resume but your warped [Only mods are allowed to see this link] can be fixed and your [Only mods are allowed to see this link] finished/built.

Re: Train sets!
the helix is a winter project and can wait for the time being, but getting the warped bridge situation sorted out is a priority and will be done as soon as the health issue that the father of myself and 1mtvfan is currently experiencing has been successfully concluded.

Re: Train sets!
well, actually he is, but he is getting surgery for it in October or November, but he is not experiencing any pain or discomfort. all he is experiencing is a touch of shock, which should clear up soon, so after that he will be back to working on the train set up. and i am also trying my hardest to keep my go pro fully charged for the day i can film the trains rolling around on the helix, or past the camera in some form

Re: Train sets!
yes, he is having health issues, but what is bothering him most right now is something called shock, so once that clears up, the train set repairs will start
