New Facebook vs 'Classic Facebook' Whch is better?

Hello everyone,

Now that we are all stuck on the 'new' Facebook, I am wondering which you guys like better, the new Facebook or Facebook classic. I would say for me as of now it is still Facebook classic because the new Facebook still has a few minor bugs and sometimes loads slowly. I do like the dark mode feature on it though which is cool. I just wish the new Facebook had a little more blue and other colors in it like the old one did.

What do you guys think?

I have a bit of a gripe about new Facebook to share. For some reason I am unable to tag friends in posts. I'm hoping that such is a bug.

Well I haven't picked the dark mode for Facebook. I picked white for the layout of the new Facebook. It would look even worse in black or dark mode. I don't like many things about the new Facebook

I actually for the most part like the dark mode, I just don't like how buggy it is all over still. They should have waited longer until they had worked out all the kinks. Messages are laggy sometimes, pages load slowe than they used to, the 'comment' text is mis aligned, sometimes the notication thingy in the tab breaks and wont stop flashing after you read a message, the whole thing still has a lot of bugs they need to fix that the old one did have (not that it was perfect).

Yes it must have a lot of bugs since it seems it doesn't want to do anything you want to. I do have to refresh to get things to show up properly. It has a lot more to be done on it and I still like the light mode since I can see it better

i think the only thing that the new facebook has going for it is the dark mode other then that somethings are buggy

Yeah and the Dark mode hasn't even been made available and the main mobile yet for some reason!

The no tagging thing remains in place as of 9:00AM CST on 1/6/2021. I for one find this to be a tad annoying.

I have not had any issues tagging people TTFan.

So far its just me and Aaron that have had issues with tagging people. I honestly don't know why such is the case. I for one am wishing that FB would fix this tbh, as I enjoyed doing this in relation to my BGRN shows.

It seems it hasn't been fully been rolled out with the new Facebook. It seems it is taking a lot of time to get everything done that needs to be done. I also haven't tagged anyone in a long time so I am not sure if it works out. I am still not a fan of the new Facebook but I am getting through it the best I can

I am still unable to tag people on "New Facebook" as of 9:55AM CST on 1/18/2021. I have started to think about filing a complaint with the company about this now.

Are you sure your doing it right Art? Usually you can start typing a name and a box will show up with a list of friends with that name.

i also had issues with tagging but i think it was just a bug that has long now been fixed

Such remains in place for me. As I said before, I am thinking about filing a complaint with Facebook's brass about it.

I have tried accessing FB on Chrome, but the problem has persisted.
Looks like I'll have to file a complaint with FB at some point in the near future.

such can be really hard to report to facebook since they don't really do anything with the report system unless it's really serious like someone violating TOS that's really they only time facebook does something constructive they rather not waste there time for bugs and stuff they never fix.

The messenger situation on New Facebook is a bit confusing now tbh, as it was opening in its own window for a while but has since returned to its original format. I suspect that such has been done due to user complaints but nothing is confirmed at this time.

I was going to say the messenger system is still the same for me.

Art it seems to have corrected itself for me. It now opens up in the fb messenger like normal

messenger has been the same for me for along time nothing changed or even opened in another tab for me it's the same as it always was

I can now tag people on New Facebook again (as of 9:40 AM CST on 2/28/2021), but there's a bit of a snag as one of of my friends has three different accounts & only tag the two that this person no longer uses.

i have to say that tagging didn't work for a while and it wasn't just art that had the issue it was also me as well it took facebook 2 months to fix it and get it working again the way it should but there are also some small things that break from time to time on facebook as well that i have noticed when facebook did the new layout it really wasn't meant for Prime time yet and they still have some things to fully work out still.
