Train sets!

i am also still looking for some more cylindrical grain hoppers, and also anything of interest in the way of model buildings and track-side scenery, so feel free to offer some up if you have any laying about or know how to come about them

what does a trailer have to do with the train set? we're getting off topic, i feel that packing up my equipment for the remainder of the year is what has to happen if no landscaping work has commenced by the end of 2017, and @TTfan, all that drivel you keep spouting is lost to the time and breath you keep wasting, so once again RIP liptonville,and i may also say no to the planned layout on the third floor of my house if it is inadequate for my tastes, but, if that is the case, i will be left with the remaining option of a train table on a 4'X8' sheet of plywood that i will have to put up and take down, or hopefully i can expand it some without making it too big to maneuver.

update, will go next week to finish packing, had a busy day today, and sunday is a day of rest for my gran

Paid a visit to the setup yesterday ((6/17/2017), and a large percentage of 1mtvfan's equipment is missing from it. I for one remain convinced that such is a ridiculously childish move that's causing a great deal of un-needed (and unwanted) difficulty as well as frustration, but such is happening regardless of my overall opinion.

remainder of my equipment will be removed from the rails at some point next week, but SD40-2 Soo line no. 772 will return to the active roster hopefully in the next month or so, it all determines when the replacement parts it needs will arrive. once it returns, it may get a lap around the on the rails before it too is put away, as i have made my stand on the whole thing and remain set on things until the outlying issue is addressed.

update, packing up the remainder of my equipment soon, may leave one one loco out though, even if has to sit on a spur all by it's lonesome

If anyone wants to know, I've written a Handbook for the LCVR & have been doing some 2017 updates for it in the past week or so. Unfortunately 1mtvfan's recent choice to pull up stakes could not be omitted in this however, and almost all of the trains mentioned in it are affected. Not surprisingly, I'm still having a very difficult time accepting the above choice but I also know that there's no other option.

forgot to mention that BNSF SD40-2 no. 7835 will also be returning to service soon too, but it is still a shame that it too may have to sit in a box on a shelf. and to make it clear, i have only pulled up my stakes for the summer, but that may extend into the fall and winter, and it may become permanent if there is no landscaping in place by spring next year.

Visited the setup again last night (6/19/2107) intending to run a train but ran out of time due to looking at the inventory of grain & passenger cars. I also used this time to create separate 25 and 19-car grain trains for future operating sessions (at least on paper anyway).

Thanks for the update on the non progress of your #train_set , sorry to hear once again that your packing up all your trains and stuff mtvfan but such is your choice I suppose.

well, i am not going to leave my equipment on an unfinished layout any longer, so packing it up is the only choice i feel i am left with

Had an operating session tonight (6/26/2017), but it was very problematic.

still waiting on landscaping work to begin, hope i won't have to wait another year, but i will sit out on the layout for the remainder of this year, as i have indicated by packing up my equipment, but for now they will stay on the shelves at the location of the layout, but, if i am made to wait another year for the landscaping work, i will begin moving the boxes of my equipment back to my house, and as many of them as i can as often as i can.

update. will go on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday to pack up what's left of my equipment on the tracks, am leaving 4506 on the tracks, but have a feeling TTfan will cast it to a corner where it will be left to be forgotten and sit unused

further update. loco no. 4506 will be getting packed up, as news has reached me to say that TTFan will indeed be placing it into a corner to be left to sit unused and forgotten, so with that, all of my locos will be boxed up and left to sit on the shelf , as will the remainder of my equipment, until the landscaping work begins, and if it does not begin by next year, my equipment will be bagged up and all brought back to my house, and remain that way until the new layout is built or permanently if the new layout is not to my liking.it's amazing how something that was supposed to be fun could turn into so much drama

will be either tonight or tomorrow night, but the remaining pieces of my equipment on the tracks will be removed, and once that happens, my stakes in the layout will be pulled out and i will be finished with it for the remainder of the year, and permanently if things don't happen by next spring
