I recently got a pair of wireless earbuds, and I love them! Anyone else use wireless headphones?

I am sure it will too. Wired stuff still has its place and uses though. I dont know if you will ever completely get rid of the wire.

Right now I only really have a pair of Dallas Cowboys DJ Headphones are wired that I got for christmas a couple years ago. I dont have any microphone headsets right now, but if I do get a set again, it will probably be wireless. Cool

Most smart phones and mobile devices support both wifi and blutooth and have been doing so for atleast a couple years already. Neutral

Actually I would say most people have to some extend or another already done so. It will be mainly the folks a little behind on technology and the older folks that will have trouble switching over.

Wireless Headphones Empty Re: Wireless Headphones

Post by Brandon Sun 19 Jun 2016, 11:11 pm

90% of the time a wireless headset comes with built in lithium rechargeable battery. It is very very rare that they take actual batteries these days. Razz

For instance, I just bought a wireless headset microphone the other day that was on clearance at my Walmart in my department and it has a re chargeable lithium battery.

I dont think I have seen any that are operated on regular batteries honestly. Neutral

How cheap are we talking? If your buying a wireless headset for maybe 5 dollars or something, yeah maybe, but once you reach about 10 to 15 dollars or more they pretty much always have an internal, re chargeable battery.

Wireless Headphones Empty Re: Wireless Headphones

Post by Brandon Mon 20 Jun 2016, 7:19 pm

You would be suprised how many actually have rechargeable batteries. Wireless headset mics are not terribly expensive by themself, the one I bought originally went for 50 bucks before taxes, but I got it for 30 dollars because it was on clearance.

I have seen wireless headst mics that are usually 20 to 30 bucks that have built in rechargeable batteries.

I dont know many that work on regular batteries nowadays, the world has begun moving towards re chargeable batteries as the standard for nearly all portable electronics except remote controls, book boxes and portable radios, flash lights and a few other things.

The majority of other stuff though has a rechargeable battery built in.

Even if something does not have a re chargeable lithium battery built in by chance, they make re chargeable regular batteries that you can buy as well. These batteries, all you have to do is hook them up to their charging base or platform (usually have to buy the ones that come with one included) and then you can re use them as much as you want, until the batteries go bad after several hundred or so charges and then you just more of the exact same re chargeable batteries and do the same. Takes the expenses out of regular batteries even, so yeah, the world is moving slowly but steadily to things with re chargeable batteries. Razz Smile

I've never actually seen that many cordless headsets, but I'm told the cheaper one run on the regular alkaline batteries, but given how expensive batteries are today, it's better to get one with a rechargeable battery if you can, even if it means paying a bit extra, as this item will be used almost constantly.

Most of the wireless headphones/ear buds today are designed for use with mobile devices and mainly connect only via Blutooth connectivity, which is only primarily available on mobile devices.

The other major one they make wireless ones for are gaming consoles. Followed by ones for PC which are wireless, but a usb reciever that you have to plug in for it to work. Wink

Most wireless headphones with a microphone attached are yes. Overall though alot of wireless headphones work via blutooth connectivity and are designed for use with mobile devices.

i myself never used them but i heard alot of good things about them also if your getting into like the studio grade ones then your talking about how far distance from the transmitter the signal goes i know some can go up to 500 feet signal distance before they start to cut out and static since they run on an RF signal basically like FM signal like my wireless mic does now blue tooth is another story never had those either but the most common ones are basically and RF Signal i know sony did some wireless headphones back in the late 1990s and they where pricey Very Happy

Even a cheap logitic one has a range of about 200 feet or so before you lose complete signal which is quite impressive
