Mah, I hear your bike is gonna break down before you can use it next year.
Re: VIP Membership debate!
My knowledge of 1mtvfan's involvement in the MX scene is very limited (albeit by my own choice), but I've learned that the bike he had his accident on has been sold and he currently hasn't found another bike yet (as of 10/5/2015).

Re: VIP Membership debate!
only if you ride safe on them, same can be said of a dirt bike, but i would love to try a quad, although i am not switching machines, and when the time is right, TTfan will be sitting on my new dirt bike, which
i will consider a victory on the road to him riding one

The quad is more stable either way. You should try it, very fun!

Re: VIP Membership debate!
the basic rule of thumb for riding quads and dirt bikes is to ride within your limit, it is when you go outside your limit before you're ready is when you get injured, my accident however was fluke thing that no one was expecting, but even the pro riders are hurt at random times, there is no truly "safe" machine, be it with 4 wheels or 2 wheels

I don't know about 'safe machine', you know you can fall or crash at any time. That is not safe per say, but it is fun.
Re: VIP Membership debate!
as i said, to ride safe, you have to set a comfort limit and stick to it, riding above that limit too soon, or trying to show off to friends will get you hurt, sometimes badly

Hurt or killed! It is fun, but I would do any stunts on it once so ever.

i think you mean you wouldn't try to show off

Yes I believe Brandon made a slight typo there.
I know people who like to go riding on those every now and then, but they just ride them up and now the trails for fun, they never do any tricks or stunts and always wear a helment, knee pads, elbow pads, etc and they always ride with atleast 1 other person with them, in case anything were to happen, someone else would be there to help or else atleast go get help.
Re: VIP Membership debate!
Indeed Tester, they are fun, but one must be gery careful, not do any stunts and wear full protective gear.
Re: VIP Membership debate!
I was watching an episode of a canadian tv show called 'Marketplace' that is on a canadian news tv channel called 'cbc' and the episode was about how Canadians in every province except one (I think it was BC) have to pay for an ambulance ride because the government insurance doesn't cover it.
In my eyes that is just plain ridiculious and I feel of course that someone should have to pay for an ambulance if they are having a life or death medical emergency. It is just un thinkable and I feel like it should definitelly be covered un the insurance company. What do you all think?

Re: VIP Membership debate!
it depends really on the type of insurance you've got coverage with, as i didn't have to pay for the ambulance ride to the hospital when i had my Seizure, but shouldn't this line of talk be in the General chit-chat section?

Nope, I decided to post it in vip membership debate so that vip members and staff can discuss this.
The standard goverment insurance does not cover them though, correct?
Re: VIP Membership debate!
it would depend on what coverage you have really, but i'm going on my experience only, and i didn't have to pay for the ambulance ride, because of my government financial assistance plan, but this is unfortunately a ruling made by the Canadian government some time ago, and to some degree the EMT's do need to make some money, as they provide a service to those in need.

Lucky you then. Of course emts need money, not arguing that. I am just saying that medical insurance should be the one paying it, not the patient.
Re: VIP Membership debate!
i don't like it either, but they're all unionized in canada, so they make the patient pay unless they have some form of government assistance, in all honesty i've been in two ambulance rides, but the first one doesn't count, because it was only a transfer ride from one hospital to another.

I also heard that in one province, the coverage from the government insurance in regards.to ambulances is so terrible that families and patients even have to pay for hospital transfers!
Now that is crazy!
Re: VIP Membership debate!
One other quick questions as well for you guys:
What province is Winnipeg in?
What province is Winnipeg in?
