Camup General Discussion

Hello everyone,

I make this topic today to help us get a discussion on Camup.tv going.

Camup is a pretty good site, it has both html5 and flash video players, a decent chat, free stream keys and even guest cams (though you have to become a 'donator' to activate this now)

Do any of you guys use Camup? How do you like it? I will provide my experience with it in the next post.

Officially Camup is the back up site for my station @bgradionetwork , but recently it has become the temporary main site while Youlivenow gets remade.

It is a great alternative and the next best option in my opinion. I have used it for a couple weeks now full time and it works great.

I personaly decided to become a donator (their version of pro), so that I could activate the guest cams and be able to embed the player into the BGRN website. For only 30 bucks it isn't a bad deal for what you get.

Anyway my point is, Camup is a good site and I would recommend anyone looking for a site similar to either youlivenow (or its predacessor Justcast) or stickam. It works great and the features are good as well.

Ezcapechat was never the back up. Camup is the official backup, has loads more features and works better overall.

ezcapechat was the backup for BGRN, and i'm staying committed to that, no matter how long i have to wait for the BGRN to cast there

Let's not start a tanget. If it doesn't have to do with Camup, please don't mention it here.

i will have to Agree with brandon Camup has alot of good features and it's HTML5 video streaming as well so when the cut off for flash comes that will be a plus for the death of flash

Yes that is true. I still think flash works way better then flash at live stream video players, but html5 is the way of the the future.

sites will have to upgrade or they will lose visitors, although that's taking us off the track

Camup is already HTML5 and has the most traffic at this point in time given yes it still has time to catch up with flash as far as latency goes for playback it still has glitches it needs to work out before it is up to par with flash and yes flash was not perfect the first couple of years but yes Camup is HTML5 compliant for the future of live streaming.

Also on Camup the pro is also only 30 dollars or so for the year which is a bargain.

again i agree with brandon for the price of pro can't Beat it.

I have looked at this site and must say it's pretty good.

what is my favorite feature that would have to be the Chat if i had to pick any feature that is the one i like the most mainly for it's youtube video playback option

Every streaming site has it's own section for a reason and if you want to discuss a different site, feel free to do so in that site's section. If you have nothing to say about Camup, then please refrain from posting in this section. This ensures the forum stays organized and topics don't get repeatedly hijacked or derailed.

Moving on, I have to agree with you agree with you Aaron, the youtube playback in the chat is cool.

My 2 favorite features of camup I would have to say is the custom emotes for 'donators' (paid members) and the fact that the user avatar appears in the chat.

Of course the fact that every channel is featured atleast once a show, is great as well. It is awesome that the site's algorithm is so fair and even to every streamer, regardless of channel viewers.
