Microsoft Debate - Page 11 Empty Re: Microsoft Debate

Post by TigerTankFan Thu 15 Jan 2015, 5:03 pm

First topic message reminder :

If anyone is wondering, Windows 8 was originally intended for mobile devices but Microsoft had to develop the 8.1 patch because many people still use a desktop computer rather than a mobile device. Unfortunately there's going to be a time when support for win7 (which is what I'm using at present) will end, but I'm hoping that this doesn't happen anytime soon.

Before windows 8.1 there was NO start button, just a start corner Razz. Windows 8.1 gave us a start button. Personally I believe it deserves to be called more then a 'patch', I think it shoulz be called a new VERSION of Windows 8. Wink

that may be, but the official wording of it is a "windows 8 patch"

I know what official wording it is, but I personally feel 'patch' is too mild of a word for it.

Before the end of this month I will be getting all of the tips from my uncle who is a computer expert along with a tech squad guy for a whole price range in what it should be to upgrade with everything on there too. Also to get hooked up with everything too. I know it will take me a while to figure out Windows 10. I am just hoping it will work with iTunes and Spotify since I do use both of them now too. I am also hoping Windows 10 has Windows Media Player since I do use that also. But I will figure it all before the end of this month Smile

1mtvfan wrote:every windows from windows XP up has windows media player, this is nothing new

Unless they ever decide to do away with Windows Media player like they did Internet Explorer (exploder).

I did find out that Windows 10 did have Windows Media Player but I know Windows 10 has a new version of Internet Explorer with Adblock on it. I am sure I will install Google Chrome on the laptop and still use Internet Explorer since I switch back and forth from Internet Explorer and Google Chrome now. I was just wondering about Windows Media Player since I do use it to play music on the computer along with Spotify and I haven't used iTunes for music but I could with Apple Music to listen to new music that has came out. Anyways after Easter I hope to have found a laptop for a good price with Windows 10 and the newest version of Microsoft Office too. It will just take a while getting used to Windows 10 since I have been using Windows Vista for a long time now Smile

Yeah Windows 10 is a big leap from Vista for sure. If someone had ever used Windows 7 though, it appears to be very similar atleast on the desktop. They combined the best from windows 7 and Windows 8 to make Windows 10 from my impressions of the pictures of it that I have seen. Wink
